As Details Emerge in Representative Gifford’s Shooting, Second “Person of Interest” sought. Teaching of Progressive Studies may lead to Murder

CNN International is reporting: Police are actively pursuing second person in Tucson Shooting, which leads to some speculation as to who would be committed enough to anti-moderate, anti-government, anarchy theory. The shooter, who had attended Community Colleges listed as his favorite books on his YouTube Profile Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto, two books usually offered in a first year at any local community college. The video, shown below, was marked as one of the shooters favorites, it is from a metal band “Drowning in Polls”, and other titles offer similar concepts, violence, death and insanity.

The music, the progressive education and the focus on hating anyone who does not tow the “Progressive school of thought”, such as the moderate Congresswoman from Arizona, who had not supported SB1070, but also was against the Federal Lawsuit, (See Gifford’s chastised on Progressive websites such as Daily Kos for being a bigot for opposing the lawsuit.) would be enough to push an “unstable” 22 year old, with the benefits of the aforementioned education/environment, especially if one of his professors/mentors, was also equally dedicated, (55 year old white male) to team up and possibly murder a public figure.

Although the left has jumped on the Tea Party and specifically Sarah Palin’s gimmick of a 2008 election map outlining “targets”, as the possible motivation for the shooting, one must take this type of political rhetoric with a grain of salt and possibly a shot of bourbon. The fact that Tea Party members are more inclined to own a gun to hunt, and read the Constitution, does not in any way resemble the pattern of education/devotion to the void which the shooter displayed. Fine a Tea Party Member who is avidly a fan of the Communist Manifesto and or Mein Kampf and you’ll find a Progressive infiltrator.

The sad part of this is anarchy and suppression of free speech is at the heart of Progressives, and the education they provide to our students, from high school through college, and prey especially on the weak of mind. The old idiom “an over educated fool” would, for the most part, describe the majority of those educated after 1970, when teachers unions and progressives, grew to control the educational system in the nation. Rhetoric and polices are taught hand in hand with such subjects as math and urban forestry.
Therefore, the right call in Washington would be to guard, anyone of our representatives who remotely resembles a moderate or takes stance against the progressive agenda by compromising with a moderate or conservative.

Although not a fan of radio personality, Glenn Beck, he may have had a point when he suggested that the President would be in danger from Progessives. One must give the devil his due, Beck may have a point here, perhaps not just the President, but anyone who is a Democrat, Progressive, and seen as some sort of “traitor to the cause”.

You are insanely ignorant if you think that Progressive Philosophy promotes violence as a means to its ends. The philosophy abhors violence as a solution. I think you realize that and are trying to deflect the situation from the Tea Party spotlight. And then to excuse Glenn Beck's vehement hate mongering, violent subtext, "We have to take out progressives", Poioning Nancy Pelosi in effigy (just a few examples), as valid point making, is obscene. Every comment from these public figures, "we must not retreat, but reload", "we must use a Second amendment remedy", crosshairs on a map or our representative, are signals to those mentally deranged or not, Manchurian candidates, in radio/tv land, that violence is a justified. These are not Progressive people making the quotes.

I do not care what other justification or twisted logic you have to support your point, (Progressive teaching leads to Murder) these things I've said are true.

LynMyers and Anonymous
Welcome
I take it you both got the point, frankly, the young man was, obviously, out of his mind, however, the point made, regarding the rhetoric that comes from the “left” or “progressive” dogma is at once, designed to incite the “masses” and motivate “change”, granted, the word itself, loosely defines, means to “move forward”, however, when you consider that historically the movement is grounded in organized labor (specifically in the U.S.), (see the riots caused by the same during the early part of the 20th century), it becomes evident that those that are “weak” may take that rhetoric and twist it – the individual was obviously not in his right mind, that is clear, but one has to take into consideration the background: read the article in Phoenix New Times: URL: http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/valleyfever/2011/01/jared_loughner_alleged_shooter.php
Regarding the political-philosophical leanings of the young man, and you may see my point. As to the litany, LynMyers, of “parrot like” points you make regarding the Tea Party, while at the same time, refusing to allow for debate, speaks to the rhetoric to which, you yourself, have become enslaved, and was, in part, the point of the piece. The object of the “opinion” piece, you have right, it was to counter the immediate response from the “progressive” left in attempting to assail the right, without taking certain points into consideration, and not looking at all sides of a given situation. As to the “Tea Party”, and/or the “right”, the “left” or “Progressives” paint all involved with the same brush, when the same is done, in kind, the individual is obviously “ignorant” of the facts.
The fact is that no-one knows, at this point, what motivated this individual to commit such a despicable crime – however, it was obviously politically based – from the fact that the individual was reading the books that are commonly found in most progressive (or those, perhaps that call themselves progressive) personal reading lists, it is hard to fathom that any association with any figure, public or private that is affiliated with a group that bases itself upon the U.S. Constitution would hold water.
I do give you both credit for being so passionate about a philosophy which you hold, however, as a moderate, I tend to look at any philosophy which is “fringe” to allow those who are, again, weak, to twist a “cause” to the point of criminal behavior.

We shall see what hard evidence comes from this. Yes deranged. A pawn of progressive thought. No. A pawn of Glenn Beck's Tea Party hateful rhetoric, I strongly suspect. There is no comparison on the left, to what Fox news and its mis-information is doing to our country on the right. It is very influential. I have been informed by my retired surgeon marathoner uncle, who I have admired all of my life, that Obama is a socialist fascist, and we need to take back control or our government, which I understand, is almost exactly one of the few things the deranged gunman stated after his arrest. One of many such revelations I've heard. Given the many loose definitions surrounding the terms, it is still very hard to be a Socialist and a Fascist. Where did he get this crap? I know it is Fox "news". I've been almost run over by a rusted out pickup truck driver, I suspect because of my Obama sicker, one day after Glenn Beck announced that "we have to take out the progressives". I've been incessantly harassed daily for almost a year by an Engineer coworker, proudly displaying the Don't Tread on Me flag. This is because I had the gall to tell him that a poster he displayed offended me. Now you tell me which philosophy is more passive, and which is more aggressive. Yes I've been angry with the right. In passing I've considered taking up arms, but I haven't worn a gun to a rally and I have not taken up arms. I have been an avid researcher of a dozen news sources, regularly sending the truth out to a very large distro list of publications and contacts. Truth can be subjective, but there is logic and reason and fact. Without, we are living in an alternate, surrealist. That is the what the right wing has given it's followers with which to make their decisions and take their actions. I have often not liked the news from the so called progressive side of our government either, but I had hope. After the murders Saturday, I don't know if I have hope any longer.

I want health care for all, I want the poverty and hunger to be less each generation than the one before in our country and I don't want tax breaks going to billionaires when our country is in serious economic stress. Yes, I want a more equitable distribution of wealth for the people of our country, and that may mean higher taxes for my wife and I (software developers). I want the wars to stop. I want a level of education in our country that the world would admire, not 23 in math. Most of all I want as close to the absolute truth in our journalism as possible, so even the deranged can make decisions based upon the truth. Karl Rove, Laura Ingraham, John Stossel, and Glenn Beck, and Bill O'rielly are not putting it out there, and they are not espousing a progressive philosophy.

Sincerely

Dear Lyn,

The man, as previously stated, is not stable – however, that said, it is ludicrous for you to even connect a dot between Glenn Beck (who is the 9-12 groups –the Tea Party being somewhat separate – difference, one is based on fiscal policy (Tea Party) the other on a social/fiscal policy (Glenn Beck 9-12) and a person who would even note that the Communist Manifesto or Mein Kampf is a favorite tome. Your assertion that the shooter has uttered anything since his arrest is somewhat interesting, given the fact that all news sources cite the contrary – his first spoken words to the judge being at court today. (He did blather about those holding him down after the crime was committed about hurting his arm – that was on all networks) - If you’re doing research, and I have this wrong, I do appreciate you putting in a link or two –
The network and cable news in general gives the public a “view” of the news, and those that you mention are all Fox opinion (not news) personalities. It would be as if someone like MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow were considered an anchor/news reporter – same difference. As to your personal “attacks” from those on the “right” – someone driving you off the road could honestly be due to DUI’s and driving a rusted out pickup truck does not mean that the person is a “Conservative” – seriously – please think about that – additionally, the Gadson Flag is stepped in history and we should, as U.S. citizens be very proud of that flag, it is a shame you take offense at that. As to individuals of different schools of thought saying “aggressive things” – and speaking of Obama – refer to the Wall Street Journal report here: http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2008/06/14/obama-if-they-bring-a-knife-to-the-fight-we-bring-a-gun/
Where then candidate Obama suggested a gun was a better fight weapon than a knife – two wrongs don’t make a right. There is so much research to be done, and so little time – I can suggest a few books if you are interested – as well as movies which are available at public libraries (non-biased) and might help you to understand the historical philosophy of progressives.

I understand you want a lot of things, I’d like world peace as well, and no suffering, however, until we can all agree to disagree politely, actually listen to the other side of an argument and invite dialogue, then there will be no hope. As long as politicians make a career out of Congress or the Senate, then no issues will be resolved, regardless of party. You should watch all news sources, you speak of Fox, when was the last time you compared a story on an event on three or four networks – it’s interesting to see the way that Fox, MSNBC, and CNN report on one subject (dvr’s are helpful) – it’s also enlightening.
You speak of wanting to do violence, yet you refrain, anger over politics is not worth the time. I welcome dialogue, however, anytime.
