Update Iran 07-19-09 – Regime Losing Credibility with Army, Protests Continue, Iranian Vice-President Resigns

Further evidence that the regime of Ayatollah Khomeini and his side-kick, Ahmadinajad is losing the ability to keep control of the country, is a report in the U.K. Guardian today – 36 Iranian Army officers were arrested for joining protesters on Friday – they were dressed in uniform. The reports from Twitter regarding regular Iranian army forces working with protesters for the past three weeks, is now verified in the “word” media.

Khomeini and Ahmadinajad have been keeping the Iranian people in a virtual prison for years by employing outside Arab mercenaries from Hamas and Hezbollah (while directly funding both organizations in order to destabilise the entire region) – those were the forces involved in the gruesome ax attacks on peaceful protestors on June 24, 2009 and are chiefly responsible for all attacks on protestors since the election results were disputed.

Additionally, the Los Angeles Times is reporting that Ahmindiajad’s Vice President has resigned, still more trouble for the faltering regime.

Protests continue today in Shiraz (video below), and the date, 30 Tir, will, in all probability, be the death knell of the current regime. The movement for freedom, consisting mainly of students, is now better organized, more determined and the will of the entire Iranian nation, without help from any outside sources, are on the path to freedom. A great admiration must be given those Iranian’s who, once having tasted a bit of freedom, will not be put back into Khomeini’s prison. Ironically, former President Bush, who envisioned democracy thriving in the middle east, once the Iraqi’s were freed, must indeed be proud of those Iranian’s who are now struggling so hard to regain their country. Ironic, that those who would put a timeline on democracy, (living in a county, whose own democracy took decades to form), would put a time-line on freedom in Iraq and it is no wonder therefore, that they are mostly silent on the Iranian’s desire to join the few world Democracy’s – fortunately, they do not speak for all American’s – Free Iran!
