The latestpoll released today by Quinnipiac shows Incumbent Senator Chris Dodd’s approval rating has increased slightly – to 38%, an increase over April 2, where he had a 33% approval rating. Dodd’s dismal polling is significant given the fact that Obama was recently “stumping” for Dodd, which yielded an increase of a mere 5 points.
In a match-up with Republican Simmons (who has not yet begun to actively campaign), Dodd increased his lead by 5 points, again, numbers that do not signify any significant gains for Dodd.
