Mike Huckabee – The Message: Stick to One’s Principles
(Nice Guys Finish First – How Refreshing Would That Be?)
Former Arkansas Governor and 2008 Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, has defended Hillary Clinton’s decision to stay in the race for the DNC nomination, (Log Cabin Democrat) in spite of pressure from those within her party. For those of us who have supported Mike Huckabee, it is their personal message and governing or legislative expertise and experience they bring to the campaign, which keeps supporters engaged until the bitter end, and or in the case of Mike Huckabee, past the point where the candidate has ended their quest for the White House.
It is the people’s right to vote their conscious and send a clear message to the particular party that their candidate of choice has positions that are vitally important to millions of American’s. The effect may be looked upon as a nuisance (Politico – Nuisance Vote Eludes McCain) by some, however, 23-27% of the voters in both Indiana and North Carolina sent the message that they wanted a chance to choose a candidate as well as a political position. Isn’t this what the process is all about? When the nation became a two-party system, the RNC and the DNC backed by big business and special interests, little room was left for the “masses” to make an impact on this Republic. It is in the process of the election that there is still a chance for “we the people” to have a voice, albeit a small one.
Mike Huckabee understands of the process and the need for both the candidate and the people to have a choice is to be applauded. He is now working to bring conservative factions together in support of the eventual Republican nominee, John McCain. It should also be noted, that McCain and Huckabee were the two candidates in the entire field of candidates (both sides of the aisle) who have run campaigns that were civil, citing their differences and pushing a message. It is civility, combined with experience and a clear message that will bring McCain, with the help of Mike Huckabee, to the White House in 2008. It should also be noted that Mike’s understanding of Hillary Clinton’s position to stay in the race, despite a barrage of attacks from the media, special interests, and the party elite, is spot on. She has a duty to her supporters and to her country to stand firm until there is a clear nominee. Those American’s in states that have yet to cast a vote, should have an option to voice their opinion.

Where the Huckster's message was, "Do As I Say, Not As I Do."
Yes, those of us who bothered to look past his false cloak of religion and pandering empty promises understand exactly what the Huckster is ALL about;

Winghunter, you post a link that leads to a blog that a) allows no comment and b) is nothing more than a list of links to opinion pieces that have been disproved time and again. The problem with special interest groups such as Club for Growth, political parties at opposition, and pundits like Michele Malkin is that they allow a bias for a particular candidate (Mitt Romney or Obama in this instance) to outweigh their objectivity and their ability to publish fact versus fiction. They will publish misleading information in order to achieve an objective (note: this has backfired) In the case of investigating Mike Huckabee: I was invited to learn about him in 2004 by individuals in the state of Arkansas who were not connected to any campaign, but rather had lived under Mike Huckabee as a governor. I then went back and, indeed looked, at ethics charges (found to be unsubstantiated), his stellar record as governor, first, the two years that he acted as governor after James Guy Tucker was forced to resign, and then 8 more years where he was re-elected twice, mind you, by a resounding majority of the states population. I spoke to individuals in the state that were registered in both political parties, and to a man and woman, they all had nothing but positive remarks regarding Mike Huckabee. He also (http://www.obu.edu/news/story.asp?ID=2363 - link to university newspaper article, which, much to the horror of the elite, is not an Ivy League college. Therefore, according to Michele Malkin and those bloggers whose deep-rooted fear of religion, would automatically discount any degree associated with any university that was founded by a religious organization, attending a prestigious college such Fordham and Notre Dame would automatically discount the degree. As one blogger, put it: just a B.A. from some Podunct U (and hell no I won't apologize for dissing a third rate college). (Hyscience an Obama blog) It is those that dont do their research, but rely on opinion pieces, not actual research, to form opinions that are the truly uniformed. The majority of the blogs based on misinformation regarding Mike Huckabee, are decidedly Mitt Romney blogs. One can expect additional attacks and false accusations to roll as John McCain begins to vet potent ional running mates. Outside of running the usual Romney-type negative campaign advertising (which was his downfall), the blogs will be abuzz with revelations regarding the characters of all potential v.p. candidates, but specifically Mike Huckabee. Note to Winghunter, get over yourself, it is neither your decision nor mine as to who the eventual running mate will be, and, do you own research.
