Obama – Is War With Iran to be His Final Conflict? – President cites need to retain Iran’s nuclear capabilities – The Not So Obvious Hawk in the White House

President Obama, weighs strike on Iran - image CBSLocal DC

President Obama is heading to Israel – and has noted in a recent interview “Right now, we think it would take over a year or so for Iran to actually develop a nuclear weapon, but obviously we don’t want to cut it too close,” he said. “So when I’m consulting with Bibi (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu) as I have over the last several years on this issue, my message to him will be the same as before: `If we can resolve it diplomatically that is a more lasting solution. But if not I continue to keep all options on the table.” (Washington CBS News)

It is time for that “red line in the sand” to be taken more seriously – and apparently, with the statement “all solutions on the table” (should a year of diplomacy fail), conjures up images of a yet another potential U.S. engagement overseas – one which might have been avoided. First, it goes without saying that diplomacy and Iran are not usually residing the same hemisphere – and secondly – “all options on the table” is a hawkish term – generally meaning military use of force. One might then be able to add Iran to and increased incursion into Afghanistan to the Obama Presidential Legacy at some point in the future. However, it remains to be seen if Iran will be challenged by this administration, or, more to the point, in conjunction with the UN – together - with more than strongly worded memo’s telling those that would blow up the world, starting with Israel, to cease and desist.

A missed opportunity. Over the course of months in the uprising in the state of Iran over elections in 2009 – A general strike, which was peaceful, resulted in the death, imprisonment and torture, of Iranian’s who had peacefully taken to the streets – in one stunning incident (there were many) –the Iranian forces refused to fight those who were peacefully protesting, so the Ayatollah’s called in mercenaries from outside Iran, who, on motorcycles, used axes and other means chop through the crowds – it was a state of barbaric control, and throughout - there was little coming from the national media or the Whet House – one could have heard a pin drop. The screams for help from the Iran’s (Persians) being persecuted, went largely ignored. A hint from the newly minted President Obama that there was support for the uprising, apparently materialized 3 weeks into the slaughter, when the window of opportunity was long gone.

Had there been a hint early one, while nations such as Canada and Italy were doing their utmost to protect individuals by bringing them into embassies on the ground, perhaps, just perhaps, the regime might have taken notice,. Moreover, with some indirect aid – having troops on both borders of Iran (Iraq/Afghanistan) – aid in the form of weapons, electronics, etc., would have changed the course of history. Yet, there were crickets

Now, as Iran has exceeded exceptional in nuclear arms development, the crisis is upon Western Leaders, and something must be done (not to mention the son of Sam who’s running N. Korea. Should the U.S., perhaps send over a few drones to strike at known nuclear targets (they can borrow Intel from the Israeli’s, if need be), that would set off a direct conflict between Iran and the west (as they threaten the entire Western World, and it would put North Korean on notice, that there is yet another “cowboy” in the White House.

The Israeli’s believe President Obama has this intent: that he will strike Iran if diplomacy fails this year (Times of Israel)

However, the press is somewhat dismissive of the intent of the President to strike, taking a more pragmatic approach in passing the less than vied threat form President Obama (See Reuters’ article)

It is this opinion, In no uncertain terms, the President is a Hawk, one who has involved the U.S. directly and indirectly in geopolitical conflicts over the past few years (Libya, Egypt), therefore, the Iranians cannot be dismissive of President Obama – and if so, their failure to understand will be their undoing.

One might call the President a Paper Tiger, or critique his foreign policy as somewhat erratic, hwoever; he has been consistent in sending both troops and military aid (in real goods, or cash) to those nations that are seeking a chance in government.

Obama Radio Address – Look away from the Protest Images! Don’t be Dismayed – U.S. Flag burning in 21 Nations - Obama – Damage Control.

Anti-U.S. Sentiment Grows - Burning of U.S. Flag - Image: theerant.yuka.com AFP

From: AisiaOne (Singapore) via the AFP, In President Obama’s weekly address to the nation:

US President Barack Obama urged Americans Saturday not to be disheartened by images of anti-American violence in the Islamic world, expressing confidence that the ideals of freedom America stands for will ultimately prevail.
"I know the images on our televisions are disturbing," Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address. "But let us never forget that for every angry mob, there are millions who yearn for the freedom, and dignity, and hope that our flag represents."

Of course, with cable TV News channels available in almost every household in the U.S. that may be a bit of a stretch, including the fact that it is disheartening with not one, but 21 nations are up in arms, attacking not only U.S. interests (embassies), but also German Embassies (Reuters). One has to ask what the Germans did; other than not adhere to the principles of Radical Islam and the desire of the proponents of said “religion” wishing to take over the world. Apparently, it is not only the U.S. that is maligned but the West itself (or any nation not under Islamic rule). The fact that the White House and the U.S. Press continues the narrative of blaming a simple (and badly produced) video that insults “Mohammed” is beyond comprehension of anyone with a pulse. Understanding that radicals spring from any religion and that they do not represent the “norm” (in most cases), historically, there was no film available when the radical Ayatollah, in response to President Carters offer of Peace, promptly stormed the U.S. Embassy, killed diplomats, kidnapped the balance and held them hostage until the day Reagan was inaugurated in January of 1981. Said hostages were immediately released as they eyed a strong leader rather than a paper tiger.

To suggest that reason will prevail and that the U.S. population should not be concerned about violence targeting the U.S. in 21 countries around the world, spreading from the Middle East to Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and Europe., (Whiz-bang) is a bit of a stretch as the Administration/Campaign is finding damage control difficult.

The fact that the short narrative insulting Mohammed was produced by a Coptic Christian (Washington Post)should also be considered more relevant than the film itself – because the Coptic Christians in Egypt have enjoyed terrorism, murder and more since the Obama administration backed Muslim Brotherhood government took over. (See Egypts-Coptic-Christians Mark Christmas in Fear” . Not a peep out of the White House or U.S. news that Christians are being murdered in nations that adhere to the Religion of Peace.

The Presidents suggestion that images of attacks against the U.S. be ignored by the U.S. population, especially since the WH narrative continues to employ the “film” excuse is not going to fly. In the politically correct world of the elites, yes, it may, but in the real world of every day American’s many of whom are Christian of one sect or another – the fact that riots, and flag burning don’t take place every time the Pope or a Minister or church leader or “Holy Image” is lampooned, is not lost on, for lack of a better word, sane population. There are comparisons to be made between eh civilized Western World and the Insanity of the nations to which the President wishes to engage in a dialogue of peace!

It’s a lovely thought, however, as much as one would love to see world peace, President Obama is not Miss America – and should, by virtue of education, know better. Ideologically speaking, it is a wonderful idea that is grounded in the very Christian concept that when one treats others as they themselves want to be treated, all will be well. Normally the case, unless of course, the group one is treating with respect, harbors a centuries old desire to convert or kill, and then control the property upon which one resides.

One suggestion that might have improved the situation immediately: Pull foreign aid from nations who aren’t getting the message, (obviously not England, or other European Nations, nor Israel, where these “protestors” (marauding hordes is more appropriate), are happily burning the U.S. flag and replacing said flag with the Flag of Islam.

Or perhaps ones might remove the rose colored glasses, actually read the intelligence briefs, and go “Forward” from said White House with more confidence (not apparent in the last week), and a bit more “chutzpah” (Perhaps he should actually meet more frequently with Benjamin Netanyahu). Although yes, the military (ships and marines) have been deployed to the area, it has been done without a confident threat to those who would harm American’s abroad, or for that matter, one who does not read intelligent briefs due to a scheduling conflict with a reelection campaign, may not understand that the rash of hysteria across U.S. Campuses yesterday due to bomb scares might have something to do with those “images” of the U.S. Flag being burned by radical Islamist in 21 countries.

The statement to the American Public made by an Administration in Damage Control was inherently weak and does nothing to instill confidence, either at home or aboard.

North Korea, Iran Defiant – Obama - Return of the “Paper Tiger”

North Korea’s continues defiance of both the U.N. and President Obama’s objection to continued nuclear weapons testing reached new heights this Memorial Day weekend, with a test where results equaled the blast at Hiroshima. Undoubtedly, the regime of Kim Jong Il, expected little in the way of repercussions, rather, exactly what occurred: strong condemnation from the U.N. and U.S. President Barack Obama. Although the U.N. met in an emergency session, it is likely a strongly worded condemnation will result, and should any sanctions be imposed, without the cooperation of China, the status quo will remain the same.

In an article from the Boston Globe, Tuesday morning, spoke to the naiveté of the Obama administration regarding the belief that talks with the regime would produce results.
”The Obama Administration “came into office hopeful that an outreached hand would yield better results,” said Michael J. Green, former senior Asia advisor to President George W. Bush. “They are now in a much more sober and realistic mood (North Korea’s Leaders) mean it when they say they want to establish themselves as a nuclear weapons state.”

Further:

“The specialists also said the tests indicated that Obama’s entreaties for North Korea to return to international disarmament talks – including dangling the prospect of one-on-one talks with the United States – have failed to provide even a pause in the country’s nuclear ambitions.”

Iran had sent warships into the
Gulf of Aden - a move seen as unprecedented and designed to show “its ability to confront any foreign threats.” Ahmadinejad has rejected the U.N.’s suggestion not to continue their nuclear program, and father, Ahmadinejad suggests a debate with U.S. President Barak Obama on “world problems and collective collaboration.”

In addition, after talks with Obama last week, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu (Reuters) is defying “Obama on Israeli Settlement Freeze”. With over 50 percent of Israelis’ polled suggesting immediate strikes on Iran and Israel’s Defense Minister telling the nation to prepare for all-out war, it appears that the current U.S. foreign policy needs revisions in order to stabilize two rogue regimes and gain back the friendship of the only ally in the Middle East.

The term Paper Tiger refers to a regime that appears powerful, yet is actually ineffective, and was first used by the Chinese under Mao, specifically against the U.S. (source Dictionary Bablyon.com). Over the years it has been used to describe the United States on more than one occasion and under the leadership of more than one administration. That said, when candidate Barrack Obama spoke of talking with (with the intent of reasoning with) certain regimes, it was an immediate indication that the era of George W. Bush (seen as “No Paper Tiger”), was coming to an end. This set the stage for a multitude of tests for the new administration by these same countries (dubbed the Axis of Evil by Bush), to see just how ineffective or effective the new President may be - should the Obama administration continue with current policy, one can anticipate more aggressive behavior from both Iran and North Korea.

Unfortunately, this too is reminiscent of the Carter Administration’s many attempts at “peace” through negotiations, which resulted in Carter’s “critics” charging he had “lost control of the situation.” The defiance by America’s detractors came to a head when the Iranian Government under Ayatollah Khomeini (returned to power by Carter), took the U.S. Embassy and its staff hostage.
The infamous 3 A.M. call(s) are now coming fast and furious – for anyone with buyer’s remorse – this reminder:

A Day of Thanksgiving - Al Qaeda Attacks Carried out In India, Planned US attack Averted – The War on the West.

One might ask, what have we, in the United States, to be thankful for? The simple fact is that there have been no attacks on US soil for the past seven years. Al Qaeda is getting frisky, however, and with the Bush era closing, feeling more confident in their abilities. Those American’s of clear mind are also thankful for George W. Bush, who has kept our nation free of attack lo these many years. An excellent commentary here: by Democrats at Hillbuzz on the averted attack on Penn Station. Will this be the last attempt? – Hardly. It is time for the blinders to come off – the “War on Terror”, that is pooh-poohed by so many “elite” professors, politicians and members of the press, is real – it is not specific to the United States, nor is the United States and its policies to blame.

A group of men (this is gender related), took a religion which was grown out of the mind of a general (historical fact), and subverted it further in order to gain global control for a few elite members of that group (although they are currently hiding out in caves –not proven and not even probable.) by using religion and hatred in order to reach an old objective: world domination. They had tried this before; after dominating most of the known world in 700 – it took centuries to push them back – the last Muslims left Spain in 1492. They never forgave those Christian Leaders who were responsible for pushing them back to Arabia, nor the Jews who are in Israel – Jerusalem – where, one could reasonably pinpoint as the beginning of this ridiculous quest.

Why is India is under multiple attacks today from a radical Islamic group demanding release of "Muhajideens" held in Indian prisons? The growth of Islam in a Hindu nation and ensuing cultural clashes, the decision by the Indian government to ban Arabic Television Stations and the increasing threats from Islamic Pakistan are all part and parcel but the blame, of course, is focused on the “West” – or those of American or European Heritage (See 700 AD).

It is a false perception that the world would react favorably to the end of the Bush administration - Al Qaeda has already indicated, in most insulting terms, which the election of Barak Obama would make no difference in any plans on that organizations part. Why? Barack Obama has indicated a preference to raise the troop levels in Afghanistan and, if necessary, pursue Al Qaeda into the mountainous region that borders Pakistan. With the choice of Hillary Clinton,(She is referred to as “The Iron Lady of the Palace” by Al Jezzera) as Secretary of State, Barack Obama sent a message that the United States may not return to a state of “A Paper Tiger”,(Carter) that those of like mind with Osama Bin Laden were hoping.

What of imperialism? Is it not the capitalistic and imperil United States that forced itself upon Arabic Culture which is to blame? Anyone buying that argument needs to get themselves to a Library and dig into the history of the crusades, the Muslim Extremist expansion across Africa and into Spain, the continued strife and struggle to “spread the word of jihad” against Europe and the U.S. through World War II, the desire to eradicate Israel (since its inception), and of course, the reason behind their hatred of the West, specifically the United States (written by Muslims, not Professors sitting safely behind Ivy Covered Walls). Suggested reading: “Inside the Jihad” by Omar Nasari. The forward of the book is deceiving in that it was written by Michael Scheuer, author of "Imperial Hubris", giving one the notion that the tome will be yet another vehicle to blame Western Culture – get past it. The author takes one through the Islamic cells of Europe into the training camps of Afghanistan with sickening clarity – and the point of true enlightenment comes when he states that there are two types of Radical Islamists, those who are so jealous of the West because of their factories and ability to produce everything from weapons to Coca-Cola, and those that are focused on promoting a religious war to gain power over the “masses” and spread Islam throughout the world – taking over those weapons factories for their own uses, and possibly, shutting down Coca Cola.

It is because of the protected lives that we lead here within the safe confines of the United States that concepts such of the aforementioned seem incredulous to say the least – but it would serve us well to remember History. Recall the rise of the Third Reich for example: the rise of a “religion” of superiority that decimated the world, and took our nation to war, where we emerged battered yet victorious. History, finds a way of repeating itself, and for that reason alone; we must give Thanks today and say our prayers for those in India, our Armed Forces, our President and our President-Elect.
