Obama About to Bring Down the Democrat Party – For Decades with Executive Immigration Reform
The President is set to announce his own immigration reform, without Congress, and according to Yahoo News service, this will irk Republicans (Yahoo).
Additional, the Washington Post suggests that ahead of the announcement the President will dine with select Democrats – no Republicans – most likely to rally what’s left of his base in the Chambers (Washington Post)
Add to the insistence by County Sheriffs that this will destroy democracy and leave gaping holes for terrorists(MRCTVP) or that the party was just beyond trounced in what was historic proportions in both House Chambers, the man is deluded into thinking he’s adding to a legacy or, perhaps, adding to the appeal of Democrats in his base. In any case, he is deluded - unless he is playing to big business which just loves illiterate and illegal immigrants that will work for pennies, and not complain.
So, it’s either delusion or greed, take your pick.
While it is true, one senior Republican suggested this move might cause anarchy in the nation (USA Today), it will most likely come from the majority of Democrats rather than the regular base.
Here is where it hurts the party. Those African American and working class solid Democrats are simply not on board with the President. They want those borders locked down – and a focus on job creation as a priority. This was never made plainer when they did go out and vote this past election. If they had not, the Senate would have held, along with State offices in multiple State’s, from the governor’s office to Dog catcher. This was true in Massachusetts, where Martha Coakley was trumped. It was truer in CT where Malloy almost lost his job, and in VA where a Senate race should never have been that close.
Those that did not vote, stayed home and grumbled. If they could not pull a lever for a Republican in the 2014 election, watch how fast they move to pull one in the 2016 general.
We are a nation of immigrants, yet, highly suspicious of illegal immigrants, and new immigrants, and it is historically a fact, especially when it comes to “blue states”. (See Gangs of New York for starters – rent on Netflix).
Therefore, the only problem the Republican’s have is to start working towards more party diversity and paint every single Democrat on Obama’s side, from now till Nov. 2016. It’s not difficult given they were exemplary at using his as well as the former Congressional Representatives and Senators who, try and they might to distance themselves, were shown as totally in bed with the President.
The very smart move would have been to wait until the next Session in January when the Republican Senate Bill that had been sitting on Harry Reids desk, could be brought to the floor and sent to the president to sign. A total of 218 immigration bills are now sitting in the Senate – and a similar number in the House www.congress.gov)
Therefore, he could take his pick, have Harry move one of those forward, and stop the B.S. and the destruction of my fathers’ party. The Republican’s won’t impeach him, (Joe Biden is often the answer as to why not), and letting him ride his own crazy train right into destruction station is the obvious plan.
Since it’s unlikely that the President would pick up a GOP Immigration Bill, and that the Republicans’ have their “groove” on – they can count on new and very fervent members of their Party for the General Election.

U.S. Border Crisis – Rick Perry and President Obama - the Good, the Bad & the Ugly when dealing with Sealing U.S. Borders and Immigration
When the U.S. – Mexican border became a Mecca of sorts, for all of humanity to pour into the nation, unchecked and then abated by our government, one had to have been living under the proverbial rock for the past twenty years, not to have seen this “crisis” coming. Why hundreds of thousands of children are crossing the border along with their mothers, and a sprinkling of gangs is apparently a “mystery”. Some suggest that there were mixed signals sent to media in Central American whereby the U.S. government would grant them asylum and a fast track to citizenship and all that implies. Others suggest that that the situation is so horrific in these nations that to deny access would be immoral. Still, there are others who are blaming President Obama for sending the mixed messages and doing nothing about the situation (or from a bi-partisan point of view, even creating more Democrat’s in the State of Texas.
One knows (or should know) that the nation of Mexico has some of the toughest immigration laws on the books, however, the global economy is such that those who would take advantage of a tide of humanity attempting to break into another country happens to be too tempting. Therefore, Mexico is turning a blind eye to those ferrying the masses from Central America to the U.S. One might consider that to be par for the course from the less than stable (consistently corrupt) Mexican government.
In the U.S., laying partisan blame for our porous borders, would require one go back decades to various administrations, including Ronald Reagan’s, to understand that a border unsealed has apparently not been on the top of the list for all of Reagan’s successors. Be it compassionate conservatism or an economic excuse, the border remains open.
The President, in his usual manner, has taken the “Ostrich Approach”, the wait and see, most pragmatic, academic and obviously, slowest way to address this issue, or any other for that matter. One might want to proclaim dubious plots, or to hold the President on a pedestal of mercy, however, the reality of a pattern of pragmatism to the point of paralysis has been in evidence since the short lived Iranian Revolution in 2009. If one expects a college professor to apply a swift and fast approach to any crisis, one might as well hold one’s breathe. The appearance of a deer in the headlights has become the norm for the administration, and although the buck stops at the Oval office, one can be sure that the rank and file various departemne4t heads of the behemoth bureaucracy we now enjoy, is where the blame truly lays.
What to do about the “children”, is a huge factor, and of course ,the label, humanitarian has been applied ad nasuem. Of course, it is a humanitarian crisis, when one sees poverty stricken, undereducated, and disease ridden individuals pouring over our borders, with the aid of the Federal government.(RT) Those living in the U.S legally and knowing that the federal government will place these children in school systems nationwide, without treatment, are concerned for the safety of their children. The costs to the U.S. alone in housing, and treatment (if any), is astronomical, and above all those who are most at risk, immigration attorneys, should be frantic.
If that makes absolutely no sense, consider the path to citizenship a legal entry requires. One must hire an attorney for thousands of dollars, learn more about our government than our children in college, and spend years going through the process. Those costs into the thousands come in the form of attorney’s fees. Sealing the border is one aspect of the problem the other is revising the current path to legal citizenship. If we were to remove the need for an attorney, or limit the need for an attorney, reduce all government fees, and ensure our children receive the same tests and pass the tests, that those trying to get into the U.S. face, we would enjoy a lively and better civic minded society.
Another tactic would be to employ an “Ellis Island/Great Deal” approach to the southern border, immediately ensuring that the individuals crossing, regardless of age, would be put to work, (be it schooling or labor), for the government itself, building roads and bridges to “pay for their” keep, al la Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
None of the above has even been considered. Therefore, you have a citizenry literally up in arms, a President who is being blamed left right and center, and a host of characters who are so clueless as to what to do with 50,000 children as well as adults, that they are planning housing them in warehouses or abandoned Wal-Mart’s.
One might also suggest that those who feel these children and families are escaping a horrific situation with gangs, might want to visit Chicago, or any other city, and or simply read the papers for the latest gang-related daily death tolls to understand that is not flying with the U.S. populace.
When asking if the bucks stops there, it does, which is why Democrats worry that this is the Presidents “Katrina “moment (USA today).
When Rick Perry is accused of being crazy for calling the President out on the situation at the border, (referring to a plot) they intentionally neglect to include Governor Perry’s alternative to a conspiracy theory - that the President is simply inept. (Austin Statesmen). Perry, is of course, correct, as the academic approach in this situation, as with others, does appear to be inept when one considers the alternative approaches that produce a swift and fair outcome. What to do? Immediately vaccinate and treat each child coming over the border, do not allow anyone over the age of 18 to enter the nation, if a mother, she would have the choice of letting her child stay in custody or settle in Mexico. Offer one way flights back to the country of origin (which would, in the long-run, pay dividends in savings). Should one be seriously seeking asylum, we should have a revamped system for immigration such as described, which would offer swift and reasonable citizenship to anyone, from any country.
Build a giant fence, regardless of which business enterprise objects. Send our gang members not to prison, but on a separate flight to those same countries of or gin and return the favor.

2014 – the Games Intensify – Senate Dem’s Meet Ad Blitz – Clinton-Obama Huddle to Save the Senate

ABS News Photo Picturing Presidents Obama and Clinton - saving the Senate Dem's - no easy task.
According to the Washington Post, the American’s for Prosperity Pac, is targeting 12 – vulnerable Democrat Senators, while at the same time, it appears that zero of the Republican Senators are in precarious positions – the ad buy is said to be massive, making it difficult if not impossible for Democrats to defend their “turf” – The Republicans are semi-untouchable .unless of course, it is a primary challenge from one of those rascally Conservative-Libertarians.
Meanwhile, CBS News is excited that former President Bill Clinton is “in the huddle” with Obama to save 2014 – to the point where the President has promised to distance himself from those Democrat Senators who may just lose their seats. (CBS) Of course, of note, this is not a popular well read story on CBS News, which begs the question – Does anyone really care, or find Bill Clinton/Obama “huddles” relevant?
One has to imagine that the Democrats in questions, being targeted as they are with anti-Democrat Senator ads – might not do well with or without Obama and/or Clinton, as the gift that keeps on giving, the Affordable Health Care Act, or Obama Care or Romney Care, continues to bring new angst to soon to be former Democrats by the day. The LA Times Tells of the Obama care patients who apparently cannot get a doctor to see them, as coverage is limited, and not unlike the websites, the exchanges are running in similar dysfunction manners.
Therefore, ads or no, this group, as well as anyone who can be remotely tied to the Bill, will be seeing a whole new crop of voters who will vote the other way - Estimates of upwards of 7 million individuals have lost their plans through the new program – therefore, that’s 7 million who may take it out in the polls. That’s a thought worth chewing on for a moment. In the swing of things, with parties being equal in enrollment and Independents growing in leaps and bounds – the chances of any type of Democrat comeback for the next 2 midterms and general election are starting to wan. Further and perhaps most interesting is the relevance of President Clinton on getting out a mad base to begin with – especially saddled with the irrelevancy of Obama. Should he succeed in saving a seat it should be considered nothing short of miraculous.

The State of the Union – The Rebuttal’s and the Lack of Hope in Change, Except from Within the Beltway
The State of the Union – The Rebuttal’s and the Lack of Hope in Change, Except from Within the Beltway
The President delivered his fifth State of the Union address last evening, while watching it recalled previous speeches, with the more use of the word “investment” – in education, construction jobs, et al. There was the usual, “I’ll do it my way” Sinatraesqe bluster regarding Presidential pens and a Congress that wont’ get out of His way, a rise in the minimum raise – and of course, the please put back the Unemployment extensions. The full video of the speech can be found, along with the variety of rebuttals at the Washington Post Video Library here
What rang true was the pomp and circumstance that is Washington, with a few voices crying out in the “wilderness” – among them Mike Lee of Utah, who delivered the Tea Party (who is now organizing in certain states as a political party) (See SC Tea Party Convention), and Paul Rand, who makes as much sense as Mike Lee, meaning, literally, they both make sense. The Republican official Rebuttal was delivered by sweetness and light, Cathy McMorris Rogers, (R-WA), who talked more about American Exceptionalism, stepped lightly and referred to policy differences – it was cookies and milk after a repeat of the Walton’s gone astray in the White House.
What this means to the American People, is the same old, same old, with a twist – There used to be a State of the Union and the Rebuttal by the Party not in the White House, and however, now we have options. Granted those options need to grow, but at least that’s one thing we can take away from this annual “rah-rah” speech – there are options, and not a moment too soon.
For those of us, not, as was suggested by some, trying to save, but to stay even and not drown, those holding onto jobs for dear life, regardless of the circumstances – and the ever present, yet not ballyhooed inflation that is eating away at income which is now available for essentials only. Most American’s are trying to keep what’s left of their heads above water –and yet the platitudes and the promise remain the same, year in and year out.
Being older than dirt, one can recall a time when, after a rather depressing 4 years of one President, a cowboy from the west, rode into town and put things to right – the horror of trickledown economics was discussed in every institution of higher learning as a disaster, yet, the general public, was enjoying an increase in income, not necessarily in real terms, but where it counts, at the gas pumps, at the grocery stores, with the ability to have extra to put away, as well as take-in a movie, or go to a ball game.
Yes, things change over time, and when one adjust for inflation that $1.00 an hour, is worth the same as it was 50 years ago, so not so much really. It is the policy and the policy makers, and the leadership or lack thereof, strict adherence to political ideology without the ability to compromise that is killing those middle class and those struggling to obtain middle class – by giving those more – of the same and not allowing growth in this nation.
It isn’t as if those in Washington are clueless, they know how to budget and how to cut into the budget and eliminate waste, but they don’t, they also know putting more money into the pockets of working American’s will increase businesses, and the economy all around. They know what has worked in the past, and yet, they refuse to budge.
Which is why Rand Paul and Mike Lee make so much sense, they, in leadership roles, although not mainstream, and more libertarian –Tea Party, they instill a confidence that things can improve, by using historical and proven options.
It makes perfect sense, and so, as a result of making perfect sense most of those in Washington from the top down, will ignore it, and continue to make platitude speeches. PT Barnum would have been proud.

Obama believes Poll Numbers down due to Racism – Yet, other factors may be driving decline in approval.
From Bloomberg.com, comes an article where the President, Barack Obama, suggests that racism is playing a factor in him decline in approval. Gallup currently has his approval rating at 39%. (Bloomberg).
One might suggest that it is not racism, rather the economy, political ideology differences, and numerous “scandals”, that have brought his poll numbers to a new low. If one is to compare the vote in both 2008 and 2012, one gains some insight into the “race card” being played out on every conceivable scenario. Preface that by the fact that yes, racism exists, in all forms, whether one is African-American, Asian, Hispanic, or white (both in terms of African American racism (Cracker), and in terms of inter-demographic socio-economic (White Trash). Go figure. Although prior to the arrival of the first African American to run for the Presidency, let alone get elected, one might have thought that yes, pockets of racism existed, however, that was past and the past was behind us.
This is speaking from the experience of a young blond child, being held by her Spanish father, at a Union event in the 1950’s, where epitaphs of “Colored” were bandied about in relationship to a “dark man” holding a “blonde baby”. One was either white, or not. It was one of those memories that always puzzled, as one would not think color of the skin would enter into the scheme of things. It was always a question of competence of the individual.
Fast forward through the 1960’s through 1990’s and with laws in place, diversified workplaces, and schools and colleges, and one would think nothing of anyone other than by their own merit. Then in 2007 and 2008, the world was, once again, made aware that there was “racism” in this nation. Who knew? If one said something negative about an individual running for office, such as pertaining to experience, they were racist. Oddly enough, some were thinking that with the experience, and then Candidate Barack Obama had, was hauntingly similar to one Jimmy Carter (White Southern Baptist), which made many leery of voting for then Candidate Obama.
Fast forward 4 years, again, after 4 years of a stagnant economy, and for many differences in political ideology – that same Barack Obama was reelected. Nothing has changed for the better, in fact, with the roll-out of Obama Care, and the rank incompetence displayed by those who were hired to do the job; the President is surprised that his poll numbers have dropped. It must be racism.
The problem lays in the fact that fewer people today believe that race plays a factor, in hiring, or otherwise (gender, different story), therefore, when one is say a boss, and things go wrong, the boss is to blame, the further up the rung one sits, the proverbial flake falls upward. Since the President if visible, then he is the target of angst for all things economic and political that may go wrong with his administration.
To point out demographically speaking, the elections of 2008 and 2012, one finds that everyone who voted as “categorized” – (as in every election)
In 2008, the Republican’s ran John McCain (no confidence) against the rising star of the Democrat Party, Barack Obama: who won a majority of the women, African American, Asian, Other, Youth, etc. in all categories except for “white”. In that instance he lost 12 points to McCain, one might wish to scream racism, but is it even entirely possible that those 12 points were Republican Brand Votes, or fear of Jimmy Carter returning votes? (Roper Center UCONN) (Note the same differential between John Kerry & George Bush)
In 2012, the Republican’s ran Mitt Romney (a slightly younger version of John McCain, but not by much), Oddly enough, the Democrat, although winning, lost across points across all demographics, yet still won the election. (National Journal On line). One might suggest that had Evangelical and Tea Party prejudices not hampered Romney, the political scene would be different.
The problem with assuming Race as a factor is that one truly does not know. Unless one is polling every voting station in the country – and asking if racism played a part, one does not know that vote were cast based on a) political affiliation) or b) political ideal logy) or c)someone just wants somebody new.
Therefore, one might conclude, that Racism, is playing a very minor factor (admitting it exists), and to the larger extent, it is a condemnation of the job performance.
Up next, gender – Women, who are a majority (minority in pay equity), may see a woman run for President in 2016. One might suggest that this woman would succeed if that woman can connect to the majority of the voters on competence. One might also think that the vote will not go to a woman who has little to no experience in government, based on the fact that the public has “been down that road”. With more individuals identifying themselves as no party affiliatin (or independent) – at a staggering 42%, one might see a totally different schematic play out. However, having a brand, in this opinion, a strong brand,(as in Party Leadership), one might as well save their campaign cash or run for another office. Assuming 42% of the voter, identify with someone running as a Democrat or Republican who is more Libertarian, green party, or even disantace themselves from the major brand, that individual should, it follows, be elected. A doctor, perhaps, or someone who runs a business, and one, who has not been in office for decades, but a decent length of time, say at least one full term. Icing on the cake, someone disliked by both parties “leadership”. There are several that fit this mold, but, as it is too soon to tell who will or will not run (next year – during the midterms the process should begin). Now, whether that individual is a man, a woman, African American, Hispanic, what have you, will not matter, it will be their personal ideology that counts, no matter how wacky – or perhaps because how wacky the Party power brokers believe the to be.
As to the President, it matters not what race he is, it matters only that he is being seen as fixing the problem. Additionally, historically few if any incumbents have fabulous approval ratings in their 2nd term.

With the Affordable Health Care Act (DBA/Obama Care) Imploding, Harry Reid, D-UT, most Powerful Man in the Country – destroys 225 years of Senate precedence to give Democrats Supreme Power – Reaping what one sows.

Image and article from: The Democracy Chronicles
The Affordable Health Care Act (named so in an attempt to hide the fact that it is Obama Care and or Romney Care on Steroids), apparently is going so poorly that even Time has spoken out on the entire fiasco – let alone the disastrous roll-out, the President’s lying eyes and tongue hast caused his perfect “likability” and “trust” polls to plummet. Read Time Article (see cover) here at time.com to get the full taste of the problems that are facing a very lame duck President.
To combat his inability to get things done and inability to con the American Public, he called on the most powerful man he knows, Harry Reid, Democrat Senator from Nevada, otherwise, the Majority Leader of the Senate. Regardless of the reasoning, whether to further another agenda of the President’s, or take the headlines and the heat off the Affordable Health Care/Obama Care Act, the move to block filibusters under a “Nuclear Option” puts the Democrats firmly in the driver’s seat. The action stops any dissent from the minority party and basically breaking rules that are two hundred years old can oftentimes have consequences.
What makes one shake their heads in wonder are multiple – however, should the Democrats not be reading the tea leaves for 2014, and believe that they will continue to hold both the House and the Senate in 2014 – then that may explain Harry Reid’s actions – either than or it was a Kamikaze move in desperation of support for a Presidency in failure.
To understand completely what has taken place, the party in control of the Senate now has the option to shut out the opposition party and just pass whatever pleases them. The problem lays in the fact that should things change in 2014, and the Republican’s regain control of the Senate, then that move just set the Democrat party back – centuries. Harry Reid and his army of partisan pygmies might as well return to the pro-slavery south from which they came, and just retire - those old shortsighted fools. One might also guess that although the Republican’ are equally as popular as the Democrats (which is not giving them a whole lot of traction) they can at the least say they had little or nothing to do with Obama care – which at this point, with no fix in sight, and trust and liability an issue, then one might suspect 2014 will not go the Democrats way – especially if they are campaigning with the President to gain reelection outside of MA, HI, IL and DC.
Obama now has George Bush Syndrome, yet Bush took the sidelines, while Obama’s ego won’t allow it – that’s going to cost the party the Seats in the House – it’s already costing them the credibility with their constituents who are not progressive far left.
If there should be a group of like-minded Cruzian or Pualian new legislators in the Senate and the House, one can anticipate a whole different nation by2016- one which would give the nation a taste of Liberty on steroids. That would ensure a third party and a balance capitol at last. Suffice it to say, if one is as student, it is time (or past time) from the formation of a new party to reduce an older party to dust. At first, one might think it would be the Republicans, yet, one believes more and more, that it may be the Republican’s survive (as the newest party – The Democrats being the oldest coming from the Slave states of the Civil war and pre-dating the Republican Party – who gave the U.S. Lincoln. Therefore, faced with moderate conservatives and hard-line constitutionalists, and a marginalized group of Democrats In a tight corner, the die would be cast for a return to prosperity, and accountability.
This is indeed a great time to watch events unfold, and one would probably pick up a good deal of spare change at the moment by playing chess with any Democrat, with an eye towards winning repetitive checkmates.

USA Today – Obama Presidency at Stake – Dems Running for Exits – The Problem with Academics – The Lab Rat Theory – The Fix Lays in 2014 and 2016.
USA Today is wondering if Obama’s Presidency is at stake over the Affordable Health Care Act (Obama Care), and the fact that indeed it is a mess. Apparently, there have been a few problems. One must ask – did anyone expect anything else? The problem with blaming the Republican’s at this point is timing. The House was controlled by Speaker Democrat Nancy Pelosi when the rammed the Act through at midnight in December 2010, prior to handing over the gavel to incoming Republican’s who took majority too late. The House did try to stop the Bill from going forward, but was ignored by the Democrat controlled Senate, specifically by Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader. The last gasp that gave anyone a snowball’s chance in Hade’s was the option to defund through a Senate vote on a Republican House budget, but Harry Reid, (Democrat) stopped it cold with some help from certain friends – specifically John McCain and Graham – notable Republican’s in Name Only. Ted Cruz was blasted for being everything short of a terrorist (wait, he was called that by some Democrat), for trying to stop this mess from going forward.
Cruz, a Republican Senator from Texas, was doing it for the people (although most don’t recognize that fact, especially the media). The other Republicans’, like McCain and Graham, were trying to let it go through to its natural state, hoping it would be a disaster and make the Democrats look really bad, but a few million people would have to suffer. Republican leaders were correct – it’s a mess, people are suffering, and well, Cruz’s method may have been less painless. If one were a rank and file citizen, one might think Cruz’s method, called political suicide, would be an honorable way to fall on ones sword by saving millions grief.
Now, Obama, in his largesse and backed into a flipping corner, is going to “let people keep their cancelled health plans for another year”, according to state media (CBS). Apparently, the administration, run by Academics (Professors) from the top down, believes that they are a) ruling the county and to heck with the Constitutional Process, and b), can continue to screw up – in plan terms, until they “get it right”.
The problem lays in the fact that theories, are one thing, and practical experience is another. The last theorizing President that the U.S. had been Jimmy Carter and things (economically, etc.) went downhill quickly. Progressive Professors, (see Elizabeth Warren and run like hell), are to be honored for their ability to communicate their versions of history, politics, science, the arts and humanities all day long to the young and those who want to obtain a degree. However, theories are fine when tested in a lab, the problem is that the President (Professor from Harvard) and his buddies (I.e. the administration) has taken a theory and used the U.S. citizens as the subjects in their Lab.
Simply put, folks, we have three more years of this. It’s not that they aren’t well meaning, but…the ego that surrounds an “elite” member of society (progressive speak), is that since they are so flipping smart, they must be right, no matter how ridiculously bad things turn out – and their ego does not allow them to permanently fix a theory they feel should work.
God help us all.
Those Democrats who went into this with eyes wide open and supporting a party over the people the represent – should be summarily given the boot in 2014 and in 2016 – along with them, any Republican who thought it was a good idea to quietly let this monster of a bill go through, and implode taking millions of citizens with it – shame on them all.
There is good reason the general citizens is looking at the entire DC crowd with suspicion – but, they have no one but themselves to blame. Some keys: If someone has experience, that experiences should not come from a campus that experience should come from real life, i.e. preferably, doctors, businessmen, even, yes, attorneys, preferably plumbers, electricians, farmers, nurses, and those who are in the trenches, with the “rest of us” – currently known as “the masses”.
The best way to get one’s message across to the Media that is in cahoots’ so to speak, with the Academic fools, (an old saying, “over-educated fool”, is now starting to make perfect sense). Should be turned off, shut down, and basically ignored – for at least six months. That may be difficult as there is a good deal of entertainment to be had watching beads of sweat gather on the brows of those who are lying for the State.
The Public has but one recourse, and that is to vote and wisely – which remains to be seen if that will occur. If those incumbents, and those with long-term political affiliations or those who can hold up their college professor credentials are on the ballot – vote for the other option.
Otherwise, in eight years from 2016, this will be happening all over again. Anyone who would put forth a bill for term limits in the Senate and in the House, should be paid special attention, and get a vote, regardless of whether or not one likes the “Political Brand” of that individual –check first to see if they are currently an Academic, otherwise go ahead and pull that lever!

Obama, Under Siege, Goes to Boston to Defend Obama Care – As Romney Care! – Sebelius Falls on Sword –The Republican Blame Game Begins to Sound Hallow - Ted Cruz to Leno!
From the Boston Globe The President stopped in Boston, Massachusetts yesterday to defend his Obama Care plan, and compare it to the Massachusetts Romney Care plan upon which, he insists, it was modeled. Romney on the other hand, suggested – not-so-much – pointing to the folly of attempting to define what works for one state and transferring that model to the entire nation.
With Massachusetts basically the size of a postage stamp, bleeding population, and with a health care system that is far removed from what Romney envisioned but, for reasons unknown still defends, has enjoyed the following: lower premiums for some, huge increases in the budget, and deficits to run the program, large increases in insurance premiums (on average 20 to 40% per year) for private payer systems, and middle class families that fall through the cracks, completely uninsured. Those that do not make quite enough to qualify for Commonwealth Care subsidies, and with premiums for families at the $800 per month level, a family making less than $50,000 a year (before taxes), simply does not have the room to pay for that kind of coverage – so they pay the annual fee to the Commonwealth, instead – they are not insured.
Imagine transporting that system nationwide before thoroughly investigating the problems, and designing one that would, yes, be similar, but would address those problems so that no-one would fall through the cracks. The practice of hiking insurance premiums through the roof based on one set of economic levels, in order to pay for the subsidies of those that fall below, does not take into account the individual circumstances of those who are “deemed” capable of paying more. Massachusetts’s model has been less than perfect from the get-go – and those who pay the fines rather than enjoy the benefits of insurance – are unreported.
It was a hard sell to begin with to half the nation and now with the individuals nationwide losing insurance coverage as their policies are deemed “inadequate” (they need to pay higher premiums and load the coverage with all types of extra benefits, not necessarily fitting lifestyle in order to pay for others.), the fact that the President lied (along with others in D.C.), that one could keep what they had for coverage, for three years prior to the start date, the fact that the startup was totally mismanaged by a contractor that had ties to the Administration, it is a total mess.
To take the blame outright in order to attempt to appease the detractors, Kathleen Sebelius, took the blame for all, while the President blamed – those Republicans. (New York Times).
Herein lays the problem with that scenario for the thinking person. Yes there was a temporary government shutdown, the purpose of which was to stop funding and delay the program for at least a year, if not entirely. That lasted merely 17 days, with the rollout of Obama Care, supported in the Senate and the House by the Republican Leadership, who were battling their own members who wanted to derail what they felt was certainly going to hurt American People. However, that aside, did 17 days really matter in the grander scheme of things with a program that was signed into law in 2010, and should have been, under any conceivable circumstance, ready to roll out three months minimum before the start date. The entire mess, therefore, belongs to Obama and his administration and to anyone who signed onto the plan in the Senate and the House.
The system could work, with a lot of if’s attached, but in its present form, heavily mandated, driving up individual premiums and driving doctors out of the program, it will not. A few tweaks would help a great deal, and those have all been proposed – by Republican’s in the House. Unfortunately, those who would cast blame (see Harry Reid, Obama, et al), would not even entertain those options. Ego got in the way and they wanted to have a plan that was solely the creation of the Democrats. So, shame on them.
It would be the same if the shoe were on the other foot, and the Republican’s pushed through unpopular legislation, lost control of the House as a result, then pressed on, with a press that would look the other way under any circumstance – and roll out a substandard national program – then blame the Democrats!
Sick of it yet?
One might be going out on a limb here, but one might hope that the President will go on the stump in 2014 and 2016 for every single Democrat candidate who supported this program, and that John McCain might do the same for the Republican candidates that were the counterparts, especially those locked in heated primaries with Conservative candidates. The people may be determined to be “low information voters”, hwoever, should this mess continue, one will bet the House and the Senate, that night major political party will be thrilled with the outcome when the dust settles.
2016 Update - Maybe The Senator that has the ability to say "I told you so", one Ted Cruz of Texas will make an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on November 8th (Variety) . As with past speculation on appearance by Sarah Palin, etc., the appearance does not necessarily mean the individual in question will actually run for the Presidency. In the case of Cruz, it allows him the ability to become more familiar with the general public, and perhaps, give them a little insight into what's up with him and the causes he supports or refutes.

Class Action Lawsuit Filing Today – Man Versus Obama-PRISM-Verizon – Civil Liberty or National Defense on Steroids
A class action lawsuit is being brought against President Obama, and the companies tied to PRISM today in U.S.Disctrict Court of D.C. The case is being filed by “former Justice Department prosecutor Larry Klayman amended an existing lawsuit against Verizon and a slew of Obama administration officials Monday to make it the first class-action lawsuit in response to the publication of a secret court order instructing Verizon to hand over the phone records of millions of American customers on an "ongoing, daily basis."(USNews)
The companies listed in the suit, according to US News are: AOL, Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, PalTalk, Skype, Yahoo! and YouTube.
The Administration and the NSA has continued to insist the culling of personal data, including emails, phone records, and video, et. al, is necessary for National Defense. The opponents suggest that the amount of data, specifically data of millions of American’s who could in no wise be suspected of terrorist activity has gone too far.
This is not the first suite that has been suggested. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said during a Sunday appearance on Fox News that he intends to file a class-action lawsuit against Verizon and the Internet companies over the surveillance programs, but it’s unclear how exactly he will proceed with the plans.”I’m going to be asking all the Internet providers and all of the phone companies: Ask your customers to join me in a class action lawsuit,” Paul said Sunday. “If we get 10 million Americans saying we don’t want our phone records looked at, then maybe someone will wake up and something will change in Washington.”(patdollard.com)
There has been, for years, no expectation of privacy when it comes to social networking sites, and even one’s cell phone, specifically if photo’s are shared, but, it was “friends “and the ability to share data that caused the issue – it was not the Federal Government overseeing every move a citizen (or not) might be making.
Although argued that this is justifiably constitutional under the law, the suits will challenge that assertion, and the courts will eventually decide. One might think that given the courts propensity to side both for and against the administration – this would be a case worth watching – slippery slope syndrome is all over this one.

MA Special Election Update – Obama, Biden, Gore, Wasserman-Shultz, Barney Frank – all in MA for Ed Markey – How Much Trouble is Markey In?

Biden, President Obama and Barney Frank to stump for Ed Markey - not shown: Gore and Wasserman, also on the Campaign Stump for Old Eddy - image from snydertalk.com
First there have been more than a few polls coming out for the MA Special Election, some have Markey up by 7, some by 15 (shades of Martha Coakley), and some in a statistical dead heat, which, if the seat were about to be handed to Markey by even five points, there would be no need for the following in the lower than average public interest election.
When an election has interest this low, one would think that between the unions, the nursing home trolling, the dead and missing voting, and other shenanigans known to take place in Democrat politics in the Bay State – the Democrat candidate, even if they appear to be the walking dead, and not even live in the State, can win by a landslide.
Since that’s the case and since memory still serves, there has not been any active call for outside help since Brown-Coakley, and Coakley lost. One thing to say about Coakley she was an interesting candidate, Markey less so. This is regardless of the mistakes she made, and there ere a few.
Who’s coming to help out Markey?
The President will be in Roxbury on Wednesday in support of Eddy.
Both Joe Biden (the Vice President for those who aren’t sure) and Al Gore (who invented almost as much stuff in his mind as Markey), will both be coming to Markey’s assistance
Barney Frank will be coming out of retirement for Ed.
Finally, Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, the head of the DNC came out to Western Mass (they sent her to our boondocks) to rally the troops for Markey.
That’s a lot more Dempower than anyone has seen in MA in recent memory – so that tells us one thing and one thing only – the base isn’t into it, and the race is closer than one thinks.
Gabriel Gomez, according to a press release, intends to fight this onslaught of star power, not to mention massive ad buys which are negative in nature – “with grassroots organizing “and a fresh face. He may already have it in the bag, considering the fact that so many of these Washington DC rulers have made the trek to MA to try and pursued the populace to get out and vote for Markey.
This suddenly makes this interesting.
The last time Obama came out to campaign for a candidate (Coakley), that candidate lost by 5 points – which begs the question, if Obama is so popular in Massachusetts, why did Coakley, no matter her faults, go down the drain. Markey is not the perfect candidate by any means – the only hope the Democrats have at this point, is to hope that the Unenrolled (50 plus percent) don’t get too interested and get out and vote – for Gomez.

President Obama in Israel – To Speak to Students – On the Campaign Trail in Israel

All State visits often have a glitch or two - Obama's Limo Breaks down - Image from the Telegraph - UK
President Obama has finally visited Israel – one would anticipate that there may be a rough patch or two, considering the relationship with the U.S.’s staunchest ally, has been less than congenial at times during the Presidents administration. According to recent newscasts (network affiliates) the President the President arrived to red carpets and peace protestors (CBSLocal – video), and now, today he’s in in the West Bank to speak to the Palestinians about peach talks – of course, while doing so – those peace loving Palestinians were firing rockets into Israel. According to the AP report on the local affiliate site – the President is returning to Israel where he is going to “speak to the young people”.
Unfortunately, the older Israeli’s are skeptical – the editor of the Jerusalem Post appearing on a recent talk show on WMAL, suggested that the Israeli’s have no idea of what he’s (President Obama) doing there, other to meet with students.
Perhaps Israeli Intel understands that he’s campaigning – as he’s speaking to the youth, much as he has done in the U.S. through his presidency and two campaigns. Personal reflections from editors and editorial based on the same, underlies the positive reporting coming from the Post –
What he may learn is that should an American President step on Israeli soil without a suicide bomb strapped to his back, the reception from the Palestinians is going to be less than welcoming. Perhaps by getting on the ground, he’ll understand what the Israeli’s know – they are constantly under attack as the “bad guys”, while the world condemns – nothing like actually stepping off the campaign trail here in the U.S. to put certain concepts into perspective. As for those students they are going to attend Obama’s speech – “keeping an open mind”.

Budget Cuts! The Sky Is Falling! Darn Those Republicans! Sequestration – What? – The Fear, The Drama, the News! – Does Anyone Really Care?

Who do you Trust? Either? - President Obama and Congress - Image: the Economist.com
From the local evening news to the daily paper, the cable news outlets to the network news shows, the urgency and fear in the individual reporter’s (or written piece) voice is apparent. President Obama says we are going to lose teachers, firefighters, and we’ll have a big problem funding education and oh, long lines at the airports!! Why? Those darn republicans are going to force budget cuts on the government! Therefore, the sky is falling. What about those budget cuts? The Bill, and it was a Bill, was first brought up in an agreement on the debt ceiling between the President and the Congress, the President signed the bill.
The OMB - (At whitehouse.gov in PDF) listed the consequences of these horrific cuts. In a report on the Budget Control Act of 2011, it is noted that the actual cuts are based on a requirement of eliminating if 1.2 trillion in federal spending. The Report released in 2012 suggests that he President felt that this method was not a smart way to cut the budget (yet he signed the Act).
The estimates and classifications in the report are preliminary. If the sequestration were to occur, the actual results would differ based on changes in law and ongoing legal, budgetary, and technical analysis. However, the report leaves no question that the sequestration would be deeply destructive to national security, domestic investments, and core government func tions. Under the assumptions required by the STA, the sequestration would result in a 9.4 percent reduction in non-exempt defense discretionary funding and an 8.2 percent reduction in non-exempt nondefense discretionary funding. The sequestration would also impose cuts of 2.0 percent to Medicare, 7.6 percent to other non-exempt nondefense mandatory programs, and 10.0 percent to non-exempt defense mandatory programs
The above appears to be a ton of cuts that might make it difficult for the government to run, of course, these cuts are explained in some detail as to departments and percentages in billions of dollars going further into the documents. It is also notable that these cuts are spread over a period of time, therefore, the first cuts to take place in 2013 are in billions of dollars – cut that are placed on departments that have already received an increase over the previous year’s budget – huh?!!
On Page 6, for example, it suggests that total defense spending must be cut by 54.8 billion dollars. Which, when one understands how budgets operate in Washington D.C., one can understand that taxpayers have been throwing cash at a cow that basically throws that money out of the nearest window. This is the way budgets are run in any department of the U.S. government: For example: If a small department receives a budget of 1 million dollars and during the course of the year, spending only $600,000 to run the department, the balance must be spent before the end of the fiscal year – on anything – in order for that department to receive sufficient funding for the following year – Thus one finds that government department buying Gold-plated hammers (that is sarcasm) at $25 a pop, or replacing the office furniture, and redecorating – all unnecessary – but necessary by the Government theory of budgeting.
The beyond inefficient budgeting method is part of the problem – reading further into this report and looking at what major services to the public are actually getting cut (less than the average American is cutting their grocery bill), Once one looks closely at the budget cuts to defense, one is reminded of President Eisenhower’s warning “Beware the Military Industrial Complex” – and Eisenhower, for those who are not aware, was a Republican.
Go to page 208 in this document to see the dire cuts to discretionary spending – It’s shocking. For example: The National endowment for the arts, may lose 2 Billion out of the 148 slated for the 2013 budget. Similar cuts are seen throughout the article, most of this is concentrated on salaries to those who oversee the programs.
Then there are the exceptions, which begins on page 225. Read it and weep. (Read entire document here at whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/omb/assets/lesitlative_reports/stareport.pdf
An article at Red State today addresses certain funding cuts where said agencies are no longer in existence – See Redstate.com/why are firemen always the first to be laid off?” Good Question, along with teachers and other local employees of the local governments, the budget and salaries are generally paid for by local taxes, and are the responsibility of the city or municipality. The fact that there were additional hires under the stimulus programs to “create jobs”, is sometimes lost, and that those “created jobs” were only going to last as long as the funds did. Once the funds ran out, those newly hired teachers, were now the problem of the State, City, etc. that hired them with the stimulus funds. The Cities, etc. were, consequently on the hook for the unemployment insurance that was sure to follow – since there was no effort to create non-government funded jobs in the private sector.
Therefore, with all the back to back drama coming out of the White House and the Congress with their budget concerns, sky is falling tactics, one can image that the nation wearies of listening to crisis after crisis – In fact, they are also tired of the news, no matter what form it takes. How many people sit up at night and worry about “sequestration” outside of Washington DC and the newsrooms? – Does the average person, after all the “crying wolf” done by the administration and the Congress with the subsequent results: – “Well, we dodged a bullet there!, no more crisis, we can increase the budget!” “We don’t’ ‘have to shut down the government” – really believe anymore that there are serious consequences to any action taken in Washington?
Does Politico believe it?
That’s questionable considering this morning’s article ”Is Obama telling the truth about sequestration?”
In truth that may be a bit of sour grapes, given that Politico may still be on the outs with the Obama administration over that whole Tiger Woods/Golf-Outing/Press not Allowed situation. However, there appears to be a general, and growing, disbelief in the Federal Government in a top down kind of way, along with their extensions, media outlets – from local to national.
Perhaps it’s a lack of trust in Government institutions or those perceived as an arm of the government: See the July 2012 Gallup survey on Trust in Institutions at www.gallup.com/poll/15258/Confidence-Public-Schools-New-Low.aspx: which suggests the following: The lowest approval went to Congress at 13%, in the 20% range: HMO’s, Big Business, Banks, Organized Labor, News (Televised), News (Print), the Criminal Justice System, and Public Schools. In the 30’s: the U.S. Supreme Court and the Presidency, the Most trusted: The Military, Small Business and the Police. (Read full article at Gallup.com)
Although a little less than a year old, the report may not have changed all that much given the circumstances of the governments daily dire straits, histrionics and prolific spending, stonewalling and basic B.S. by both political parties. One might suggest that the general public has had enough.

Incredible - The New York Times Blames Bush Philosophy for Mortgage Crisis
In a six page article under the Times Business Section,
(web published Dec. 20th), the Times outlines how President Bush might be to blame for the Mortgage Crisis, citing his philosophy of increased home ownership as the main cause, coupled with a desire to de-regulate. They do talk about his concern over Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, but fail to mention the root cause of that failure, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, both Democrats, who continued to confirm the solvency of the Government Run mortgage giant.
Several points made in the article are incredulous:
The Times has apparently forgotten that those lax lending standards were in place before President Bush took office, instituted under President Carter, The Community Reinvestment Act. This bit of legislation put lenders under fire for failing to grant loans to individuals due to lack of credit - banks and mortgage companies had no recourse but to loan to those without a solid credit history. This “philosophy” was further pushed by ACORN, a non-profit that is not known to be in the back pocket of your average Republican.
When President Bush called for more home-ownership, some lenders responded by introducing the variable rate mortgage to those who had zero credit or the ability to pay that mortgage once the interest rate ballooned. In other words, although the lending practices might be considered a bit shady, the individuals signing the mortgage might have understood that at some point, they would not be able to afford their home. Somehow, this becomes President Bush’s fault:
Somehow, Bush is to blame for Mr. West's dilemma.
Other notes of interest in this particular article:
Further, Bush requested that Congress help first time home owners with closing costs, which he saw as a barrier to some - Congress complied. No kidding.
A host of Bush advisers have come “out of the closet”, citing instances where Bush may have been responsible, and the President, of course, declined an interview with the Times.
A favorite revelation in this astonishing article comes on page three of six:
Republican Congressional Leaders, and conservatives, had often called into question the President acting a tad more liberal than conservative. This truism seems to have escaped the Times, who has painted the President as a strict conservative at all times, someone whose policies and actions are so far-right they must be feared. Suddenly, they find that he might be a bit more moderate.
The rest of the piece is devoted to drawing a conclusion by way of the donations made to the Republican Party; donors which are tied to the Banking and Mortgage industry. One would be hard pressed to find an article during the 2008 presidential campaign, that did not find the Times or other like-minded editorial newspapers, blasting the McCain campaign for bringing up names like Ayers, or Wright, or, for that matter, the fact that the Obama campaign gave a hefty sum to a group mentioned in this article, ACORN, in an effort to “get out the vote”.
Now that the election is over, the Times has taken it upon themselves to make sure that the financial crisis America faces falls on the shoulders of one administration, and that no blame be placed elsewhere. The fact remains, that both parties are to blame for the present situation, and that the President, for all the power that the press believes that office has, must first go through the Congress - that the President, although the “leader of the Country, is merely, the “Titular Head of his/or her (ever hopeful), respective Political Party.

Several points made in the article are incredulous:
“He pushed hard to expand homeownership, especially among minorities, an initiative that dovetailed with his ambition to expand the Republican tent — and with the business interests of some of his biggest donors. But his housing policies and hands-off approach to regulation encouraged lax lending standards.”
In other words, although the lending practices might be considered a bit shady, the individuals signing the mortgage might have understood that at some point, they would not be able to afford their home. Somehow, this becomes President Bush’s fault:
It was June 17, 2002, a day Mr. West recalls as “the highlight of my life.” Mr. Bush, in Atlanta to unveil a plan to increase the number of minority homeowners by 5.5 million, was touring Park Place South, a development of starter homes in a neighborhood once marked by blight and crime.
Mr. West had patrolled there as a police officer, and now he was the proud owner of a $130,000 town house, bought with an adjustable-rate mortgage and a $20,000 government loan as his down payment — just the sort of creative public-private financing Mr. Bush was promoting.
“Part of economic security,” Mr. Bush declared that day, “is owning your own home.”
A lot has changed since then. Mr. West, beset by personal problems, left Atlanta. Unable to sell his home for what he owed, he said, he gave it back to the bank last year. Like other communities across America, Park Place South has been hit with a foreclosure crisis affecting at least 10 percent of its 232 homes, according to Masharn Wilson, a developer who led Mr. Bush’s tour.
Somehow, Bush is to blame for Mr. West's dilemma.
Other notes of interest in this particular article:
Further, Bush requested that Congress help first time home owners with closing costs, which he saw as a barrier to some - Congress complied. No kidding.

And he pushed to allow first-time buyers to qualify for federally insured mortgages with no money down. Republican Congressional leaders and some housing advocates balked, arguing that homeowners with no stake in their investments would be more prone to walk away, as Mr. West did. Many economic experts, including some in the White House, now share that view.
Republican Congressional Leaders, and conservatives, had often called into question the President acting a tad more liberal than conservative. This truism seems to have escaped the Times, who has painted the President as a strict conservative at all times, someone whose policies and actions are so far-right they must be feared. People Are Angry – US Media Misses the Mark - Canadian Media Hits the Nail on the Head
If the majority of US news outlets and the journalists for whom they opine had their sway, the election would be a foregone conclusion, no need to cast a vote, Obama would be the President. However, due to the current climate that has sprung from a financial fiasco (Freddie and Fannie) (which should normally help the Democrats), along with voter Fraud charges in at least 12 states by Obama’s former employer, client and paid “get-out-the-vote” group, ACORN, the media is beginning to feel some of the scorn which, up until now, has been reserved for politicians alone (with the exception of the New York Times). They fail to understand or cannot comprehend why the public would turn on them so; after all; it is their duty to inform and educate the public – again - unfortunate for them, the public has more than one outlet available to them in order to make an informed decision on the political landscape. Should the likes of CBS and NBC and ABC l not investigate a candidate who has no background, or accurately find out who is responsible for the financial crisis and Fannie Mae, then the people will do it themselves. How bad is it for CBS? Fox News’ Bill O’Reillypulled in more viewers last week than the CBS Evening News (Couric’s hatchet job on Palin.). The fact of the matter - the media has and continues to protect a chosen candidate while doing anything in its declining power to knock out the opposition, former media darling John McCain. The problem, people are aware and, like those shown in the videos below, including a video of Farrakan calling Obama the Messiah - they are pretty angry.
Both Fox and CNN showed clips of a McCain rally in Wisconsin yesterday, McCain was at once encouraged by those in the audience to please start naming names and standing up for the folks. One man refused to sit down and spoke until he was finished. Obama’s ties to socialists and his involvement and membership in a socialist party had this gentleman unnerved. Of course, the Obama Truth Squad (otherwise known as CBS, NBC and company), have done no investigation into this man’s background, taking for granted, whatever is printed on the Obama Truth Squad Website. Once upon a time, the media believed that average people were truly stupid, unsophisticated, and easily led – times have changed. Now the people know how stupid the media is and just how easily led, and if that is not the case, many believe them to be accomplices. This anger towards the media and their evident bias, boiled over with “attacks” on a group in Jacksonville – the media was shocked, hurt, amazed! (Verbal abuse never hurt anyone)? Mary Mitchell (Chicago Sun Times columnist) in a fit of hysteria misrepresented a Washington Post article and used that twisted logic to demand Palin to apologize to Obama. Although, the media is downplaying Obama’s socialist ties, they are easily found; just head to Vermont, where Obama held a fundraiser for Sanders, the only Socialist Senator in the Country. A video on YouTube of the event is available here however, the owner will not allow this video to be embedded – why? Obama continues to deny his associations (and what else many wonder), the press continues to deflect and defend and the people are furious.
Acorn (CBS calls ACORN a non-profit in reports) and the Fannie Mae mess are one story with many facets, all tying Socialist leaning Democrats to Obama’s favorite organization. When begged to name names (video below), McCain finally does so, and additionally mentions that there is plenty of information to back up the fact that Barney Frank and Chris Dodd (and others, including Obama) had their hands dirty. This may be news to the media; however, it’s not news to anyone with a computer and the ability to find “Google”. The fact that voter fraud is rampant in a minimum of twelve states (see video below of Cleveland Ohio woman who was harassed endlessly by ACORN until she registered multiple times); prodded McCain to call for investigations. One would think that in Ohio, specifically, early ballots cast would be recalled and rechecked under extreme scrutiny, and that standard should apply to all states where ACORN has an office. (If the shoe fits, one must be wearing it - so to speak.) It has nothing to do with poverty or race, as Sen. Reid implies, it has everything to do with treating everyone equally under the law (something that is allowed to be broken by certain Community Organizations with ties to a certain Illinois Senator running for President.)
It is not too little too late - the Republican Base and Independent voters not polled by CNN, CBS, ABC, NBS and MSNBC (the later both owned by GE, who stock took a dive this week - any questions?), agree that it is time to get serious. If the aforementioned networks as well as other overly sympathetic media outlets (and they know who they are), do not clean up their act and go back to being journalist and reporters; they may all end up like Air America. It isn’t as if this shenanigans is not being noticed by press elsewhere. What is most galling is that the Canadian Free Press is doing a better job of vetting Obama, that the US press. In the Article entitled “Huffington Post and Tag Team Cover-up of Obama’s ACORN Days”, the Canadian Free Press does what the American Press has failed to do – Report! One has to be embarrassed at this turn of events.
An Excerpt Here:
“And as I write this post, news is circulating that police in Las Vegas, Nevada, raided the local ACORN office. Authorities allege that ACORN canvassers “falsified forms with bogus names, fake addresses or famous personalities.” The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports “that most members of the Dallas Cowboys appeared to be registering in Nevada to vote in November’s general election.” And in Ohio, ACORN admits voter fraud is just part of doing business.
Meanwhile, the HuffPost denies that Project Vote is now and has for years been the voter mobilization arm of ACORN. But now that ACORN is getting bad press by the bushel, HuffPost writer Seth Colter Walls argues that when Barack Obama ran Project Vote in 1992 it wasn’t technically a part of ACORN. The above is an example of what American Journalist should be doing, but because they have been blinded by politically ideology, or in collusion with a Progressive Socialist agenda, they are incapable. The America People will speak and it will not be kind, to both the media as well as the party of Frank, Reid, Pelosi, Dodd, Kerry and Obama. Therefore, should criminal charges be filed any time soon, should they not include those who may now enjoy a much abused “freedom”? My friends, this can only get uglier.
(Background: Walls’s original post criticizing Seton Motley of the Media Research Center is here; Motley’s post in response is here; and my post in response to Walls’s original post is here.) “.
The above is an example of what American Journalist should be doing, but because they have been blinded by politically ideology, or in collusion with a Progressive Socialist agenda, they are incapable. Oprah Bans Palin - How Relevant Is She?
Oprah Winfrey is getting some press out of Sarah Palin. The Drudge Report started the little brouhaha when “sources” indicated that Oprah’s staff was divided over her unwillingness to bring Sarah Palin on the show. Oprah quickly issued a
denial – one that stated Drudge allegations were simply untrue! Her staff was not divided, and she had no intention of bringing on any politician that would interfere with her support for Barrack Obama.
What, one has to wonder, is the problem with that decision?
One has to look at Oprah's background: she made her start in Chicago, famous for losing a ton of weight and pimping overpriced products to those who were home during the day to watch her pontificate about women’s issues. Of course, that’s not really a problem for some of her audience because it must be assumed that those watching have the luxury to stay home. (That is not of course the case, most watching have no other recourse being stay-at-home mothers, or unemployed.) She also sells books, tons of books – she is an entrepreneur – credit is due for her ability to brand herself. Her support of Barrack Obama should come as no surprise; they attended the same church, and most likely share the same political ideology. That said - if she is certain that she is speaking only to the base of the Democrat party, she’ll be fine, but if she errs and those women really want to know more about Palin, they may have to either tune Oprah out or look elsewhere.
Palin dose not need Oprah to further her cause – in less than a week she has risen far about those “celebrities” to become an American Darling (not to mention a darling of the Euro press). The Times (UK) article on Palin and McCain is but one startling example. The fact that the RNC Convention had more viewership in three days than the DNC in 4 is not going unnoticed (with the exception of the NY Times and company). Sarah Palin is the buzz in the office, on talk radio, across the neighbors fence, in urban areas, the suburbs and yes those rural areas – she is crossing party lines and empowering women in a way that not one single woman, including Gloria Steinham (that alleged feminist who married well to prove her point), ever has. The bonus, men like her too.
How then are those so heavily vested in Obama fighting back? – with smears, lies and serious denial. Winfrey is in the later category. She is obviously in denial. NOW, with it’s huge membership of 250,000 plus, is in all three. An article entitled ”Have Conservatives discovered Sexism” is their ridiculous contribution to the Obama campaign. Palin embodies the feminist mold as it applies to those who understand what it is like to work for a living and who have been in the trenches and granted, who have values that include an anti-abortion stance. Palin is one of “us” not one of “them”. Oprah is one of “them”- one who would guide her viewers from an assumed elite position of wealth and media power into Obama’s camp. As the now infamous Palin Cover of US weekly (the tabloid Arm of Obama driven Rolling Stone), has that publication bleeding subscribers and being left on the shelf), Winfrey's refusal to invite Palin onto her show (and it is the Oprah Winfrey Show), is of little consequence. Those who are watching, millions of Americans - seeking one more proof that media, including daytime entertainment, is biased towards Palin - will merely change the channel and those who never have, won't bother to tune in.

Jeff Beatty – Batting 1000, predicts Republican Victory in Massachusetts.
Jeff Beatty, Republican Candidate for U.S. Senate was on hand to throw out the first pitch today for the American Legion Baseball Tournament at Szot Park in Chicopee. . He was introduced to a strong round of applause, and after he threw out the first pitch - came off the field to words of encouragement, “I hope you win” - players and bystanders alike reached out to shake his hand.
There is something about this candidate – he is likable. The first thing one notices about Jeff Beatty is his ready smile - his hand outstretched in greeting - the kind of guy you want for your next door neighbor – not the “untouchable politician” looking for the next “photo opp”. Watching Beatty walk through the crowd, stopping to chat or take a picture – one quickly understands his grassroots appeal – Beatty has a genuine interest in what the other guy or gal has on their mind – he listens. He has a brand of subtle charisma, soft spoken – yet authoritative and intelligent – a leader. This assessment is from one who has had the opportunity to meet and listen to a few politicians at the state and national level over the past 40 years – those who have run those who have also-ran – Beatty is poised to succeed.
He agrees with the majority of Americans when it comes to the nation’s energy crisis - something that is one everyone’s mind – Beatty is in favor of offshore drilling – accessing America’s oil supplies and increasing the nations capacity to refine.
He also understands the political landscape. Back in early July, he predicted that McCain, with a 20 plus point polling deficit against Obama in Massachusetts – would begin to gain, and eventually take the 12 Massachusetts electoral votes. Good call - a recent 7 News/Suffolk University Poll shows Obama’s lead over McCain in Massachusetts has fallen to 9 points. Although there is this preconceived notion that Massachusetts is a Democrat stronghold (the only state that McGovern carried in 1972), the heavy concentration of those unenrolled voters (51%), can produce a Republican win in presidential races (Reagan, 1980 and 1984), Senatorial Races (Edward Brooke, Republican (also the first African American to be elected to the Senate) 1972, and the Governor’s office (Weld, Romney). It is all about the political climate, and that climate is subject to change. There is a certain South Dakota, circa 2004, atmosphere in the Bay state.
Ed O’Reilly, Democrat Gloucester, has a Kennedyesque charm and may surprise both the Bay state and incumbent John Kerry in the September primary. Kerry, who has deep ties to Barrack Obama, dating to the 2004 Democrat convention , endorsed the Illinois Senator against his constituents wishes (the Bay state Democrats overwhelmingly supported Hillary Clinton’s candidacy), this and his stance on the Iraq war, led to O’Reilly garnering well over 15% of the delegates necessary to place him on the September primary ballot, at the Democrat Convention in Lowell.
Therefore, it is now a question of who Jeff Beatty will face in November – an incumbent who 51% of voters polled believe should be replaced (Suffolk University Poll) or the affable, but left-of-left, O’Reilly. Massachusetts will be the state to watch this November.

McCain and Clinton Added to Curiosty Breach at the State Department
Perhaps now, Keith Oberman can calm down a bit and ratchet the conspiracy theory rhetoric down a notch, or perhaps - not - After all, the personal information pulled belonged to McCain, Clinton and Obama. Either they are all Hollywood types (unlikely) or have something else in common. The question now remains, how long did these contract employees linger over Obama's file?!

Much Ado About Obama-Gate – Cover Boy calls Foul!
MSNBC headlined breaking news last heaving reporting a breach of security involving the State Department, contract employees (those hired by staffing firms and working for the Federal Government in a variety of capacities), and a sneak peak at Governor Barack Obama’s passport credentials. It took less than 10 minutes before Keith Oberman drew the conclusion that yes, this just might be another Watergate. At that point, watching this news sitcom became riveting – Obama campaign staffers were on the phone calling for investigations into what they felt must certainly be a malicious act, due to the fact that it took 70 days for the first instance to be reported. This leads one to believe that Obama staffers and perhaps the Senator have no clue as to how this government functions – 70 days is light speed!
Here come the investigations, the analysis ad nausea and the hope by NBC, ABC and the Obama campaign that perhaps this story has enough juice to take the heat of the Senators affiliation with sundry anti-American clergy and former weather-underground members, thereby propelling him to the top of the polls once again.
With McCain, leading in the head-to-head polls by double digits, surely something should break that will turn the tide of fortune back upon Barrack?
Not for nothing, but the one-term Senator from Illinois has been elevated to rock-star status in the minds of the media, the youth and most Democrats. One has to wonder if those same contract employees (those not affiliated directly with the government in any way, shape or form), sneaked a peak at Brittney Spears passport, or anyone else who has had their face and/or entire body on the cover of any glossy magazine (see People, Times Multiple Magazine Covers).
Perhaps the Senator should be flattered that his rise to stardom transcends mere politics and has taken on the trappings of Hollywood. After all, is there really a clear line drawn between fact, fiction, Hollywood and the DNC frontrunner? All one has to do to look at the affection held for Obama by the news media, the Hollywood rank and file, and those inclined to vote upon hope, not experience and/or issues. With fans screaming and fainting at campaign rallys one can conclude that that this type of “breach” from low-level contract employees is all in a days admiration. Where are the paparazzi? – Right besides Obama, press-pass in hand.

Winter of Political Interest Interrupted by Spring Scandal and General Disarray
Days are now growing longer and as the temperatures are set to rise in the North East, the heat of the primary season is dwindling down and the two major political parties have little to offer except bickering and boredom. Hillary Clinton continues to apologize (see Briebart), Obama continues to preach incessantly, and John McCain continues to put everyone within a 100 miles radius – asleep (*no need for links to any particular articles.)
Enter Elliot Spitzer, former New York Speaker and current (as of yesterday) Governor, caught with his hands in the proverbial cookie-jar. Apparently, Elliot laundered some money and played fast and loose with a call girl (politics as usual in this morally enlightened society), and resigned with much apology.
Meanwhile on CNN and Fox, Governor Mike Huckabee has been weighing in on the current presidential race and Spitzer’s problems. It is evident by his demeanor and his answers that the much better candidate has slipped through the hands of the American people. He’s straightforward when it comes to answering questions on the Democrat’s issues of having a woman and an African-American running for the first time. He notes that neither name tag should apply, and rightly so. His comments on Spitzer are focused on the man's family; and not one mean-spirited comment comes from him, rather, honest, focused analysis of all situations noted. He does add a plug for John McCain, but, that is in the best interest of the party, and Mike Huckabee is, after all, a Republican.
One thing is apparent, the media misses Mike Huckabee, the spotlight is now on their team self-destructing and to interview McCain may be more enticing than watching paint dry, but not by much.
The summer should bring more of the same (bickering, scandal, boredom, and the fall – chaos – regardless of who’s running on the DNC ticket, the chances of McCain winning the top job at this point, seem minimal at best (Vegas odds current lines
There is always 2012.

McCain Wins Wisconsin and Washington
Obama’s on a Winning Streak!
Timing in Life is Everything.
It was with shock and awe that I watched the results for the primary elections in Wisconsin and Washington State last evening. The speed in which all news outlets called the election for John McCain based on exit polls was simply amazing (the exit polls were based on interviews with approximately 800 voters)Fox News Exit Polls (CNN No Longer Available), it was barely 9:00 p.m. and the polls had been closed for less than one minute. What was more mind-boggling was the speed in which McCain took the stage to give his long-winded acceptance speech. It was 9:04 p.m. The raw numbers from precincts reporting in were not even showing at that point. How amazing it must be to be able to so clearly predict a win. (This is sarcasm). The general disillusionment with the system in general (on both sides of the aisle mind you), has grown from one of frustration the process, to one of utter disbelief!
Understanding that Mike Huckabee has always been an underdog, but actually does, even at this juncture have the ability to force this primary season to the fullest by garnering 51% of the vote and thereby, going all the way to the convention; it boggles the mind that the more Mike stays in, the more ridiculous the media, the RNC and McCain become.
On the other side, the constant downplaying of support, and displays of photo’s and video of Ms. Clinton that are less than say, charming, has become, from a feminist point of view, ludicrous.
This is the way I see it: The elite in Washington decided to hold their power one way or another and needed a lackey in order to do so. McCain was perfect, he didn’t stand a chance (in fact, less of a chance than Huckabee), and so given the carrot, he took the bait (and the money). These elite decided he would be their best chance at holding their own against Hillary Clinton.
On the other side, those that hold power in the DNC decided Hillary could be bested by some nasty old man, and so, they have rammed Obama down our throats.
Poll those of us who have voted long enough and this is what you find:
Clinton and Huckabee are the most acceptable candidates based on experience and policy.
Understanding that this is simply conjecture, but, other factors to consider:
With a loss of the white house, the RNC feels that it may be able to gain back its control of the congress.
The DNC feels that with a strong enough candidate they can consolidate their control of the congress.
Both parties help the media, who are helping them in turn, because left versus right has become a huge industry.
